I think one bright spot of the last few games has been the improvement of Craig Brackins. There was a lot of talk earlier in the year about him being frustrated at ISU, possibly wanting to leave, etc. Hopefully his recent improvement has eased his frustration. I saw someone say something about it in the comments on the Rag's website. I normally don't put any stock in what most of those morons have to say, but it still worried me a little that there was still talk.

Anyone know if there is still talk of him leaving? Any facebook stalkers have any insight?

Rahshon's lady Cyfan13 said she expects him to stick around.

You are right the DSM Register people who post there are morons. Ignore all.

CB has shown flashes of being amazing this year. Imagine what Lucca, a healthy Wes, an improved Haluska, and Buckley will do for him.

Somehow... after that season... I will be very excited for next year.

That's as good as gold in my book. I'm going to miss her insight next year. I hope she continues to frequent the site, but I doubt she'll have the same insider info she has now.

I also heard ramblings from a reliable source he was close to not coming back...of course this was when he was playing horrid, so hopefully his improvment is helping him realize he should stay!

Ramblings or rumblings? They really are two completely different things.

Ramblings=from crazy person
Rumblings=a collective buzz from the grapevine

I hope he's staying!
I just sent him a nice little message on facebook. Words of encouragement and told him how great he was playing the last few games.

good news is now we can use this season in the past tense. im really lookin forward to craig and DG next year they have shown some serious stirdes this year, but im not expecting anything too special next year. hopefully we can get above .500 and possibly make the NIT

I think when I read in Rahshon's article from today taht someone posted, that he was so frustrated as a freshman coming to ISU and he wasn't able to do what he was able to in High School. I think this is the way with 95% of freshman in college. It gets frustrating and you get wore down. You could see it in Craig's expression 2-3 weeks ago he was frustrated and wore down. I think this season has taught him a lot and he is going to be leaps and bounds better next year!

Good luck to Craig, wherever he ends up..

I would agree to this statement if he never got out of his slump. But, now that he has improved greatly and started making big contributions, it has given him a huge boost in confidence. I doubt he leaves after playing like he did the last few games.

Sometimes I hate reading the board. Is there in validity to him leaving the Cyclones? Except for the hate that is brought on this board every other week about him?

Good Game = We Love Him
Bad Game = We Hate Him

Expect the announcement in mid to late May....

The way Brackins has played the last few games has made me feel much more confident in our prospects for next season than I did just a few weeks ago. Tonight Craig displayed good, strong post moves along with a sweet finishing touch that shows that he can be that big player that we will need in the absence of Hubalek. This is not meant at all to bash Jiri because he's had a great career at Iowa State, but it's very promising that while Jiri sputtered the last couple games, Brackins showed his greatest potential.

Seriously, CB will be here, he has to be. With the foundation that is built, and after a solid year of big 12 competition he should be. I think we over analyze what is going to happen. He is going to be here, there are too many great things for him here at ISU for him to leave. Brackins, if you read any of this crap that we post here, please dedicate yourself to making ISU what you want it to be, a winner, and a future force in the nation, not just the big 12. You have a great future, along with this team and with this coach!!
