I like Brackins alot and he says the right things, and he is a Cyclone. Although, looking at strickly a win/loss record during his 3 years how do you consider his time here??

I probably turned this thread into a debate now, instead of the tribute it meant to be. I'm just thinking that for someone as highly regarded as he is, it seems it wasn't meant to be here with him.

I still think it is in his best interest to stay for his final year now, but part of me wants him to move on. I've always wanted players to finish all 4 years, but I can't say that about Brackins. I don't know what it is.

I don't know what you expect. He has played on terrible teams his entire time here. He isn't going to drop 80 points a night. Looking at a teams overall W-L record to decide a players time there is really nonsense. He's going to the NBA, as he should.

Nor should he drop 80 points a night. That wasn't my point. He has been on some bad teams. Yes, I agree with that. I'm just looking at the body of work he has.

Points and rebounds. Yes he scored a lot and got rebounds. Then again he is 6"9 or so??? Don't really feel like looking exactly how tall. He should get points and rebounds because he is the most talented out there. It's like being the tallest kid on a 6th grade boys team. You should score more and be notice since not everyone around you has talent.

I really don't agree with him being an NBA player though..... He doesn't take over games like NBA talent should. He gets lost within the game. He is on the floor at times and you don't realize it. Did you ever see that with Fizer, Homan, Vroman, or anyone else that got a sniff by the NBA at that spot.

I also didn't like how Brackins dictated alot of things with this team. He was a vocal person wanting Colvin to be re-instated during his suspension. Is that right?? He also seems to be the one that directs the team most of the time, but yet he ends up taking a stupid 20ft shoot off balance.

I really didn't want to get into bashing a person.... I just don't see him as an NBA player and as good as what the hype was built into. Just look at someone like Staiger. Way overhyped by us.

He shouldn't drop 80, but you'd think a post player would shoot better than 42% for the season. I'm sorry, but I don't see him with a game that will make him and NBA caliber player. He'd be smart to return and get his degree so he has a career after playing over seas. That said, he's been a great ambassador for the university and I'm glad he's a member of our team. Hope him the best in whatever he chooses.

I think he is one classy guy, particularly in comparison with some of the guys who have come and gone. He is a man in a boy's world.
