CPR is the man

Today in the semifinals of the high school ISU 7v7 tournament, I collided with a teammate and opposing player and was knocked unconscious for a short time. (have a concussion and a fat lip, but fine other than that)
When I woke up and was being lifted to the ambulance, CPR was there personally to make sure I was ok and give me a high-five.
After I arrived at the hospital, an employee comes in and says that "a Paul Rhoads is here to talk to you." He then proceeds to come in, give me a bag of stuff, tell me about how my team ended up winning, and talk to my Dad and me for a good 15-20 minutes.
Say what you want about the guy, but this was a total stand-up move. He didn't need to come and do this, but he did, and it meant a ton to me, my dad, and my coach.
Count me as a believer.

Really cool.

Glad you are ok. Watch your concussion symptoms. I had a friend that had one and ended up out of commission (no work) for 8 months and only know 14 months later is back to normal.

Other than Fred, I haven't wanted a guy to be successful at ISU more than I want CPR to succeed. Down to earth guy who genuinely cares about the school and the area.

Honestly that is really cool, but I don't think anyone has ever questioned CPR's character. He seems like an awesome guy, and I would love for him to be ISU's coach for a long time, but he has to win games for that to happen. Let's hope he does!

I'm the dad and I know this sounds totally cliché in light of the whole thread and the events, but I could not have been more impressed (and proud) to have Paul Rhoads as Iowa States Football coach. He didn't have to come and do that but he did. Further, he truly spent at least 20 minutes with us. He's the real deal

Ditto. I know I've been critical of the job Rhoads has done lately, but I've never wanted someone to succeed here more than him.

He is a true Cyclone and a great guy.

CPR knows an OLB prospect when he sees one. This is a sign of better days ahead. CPR's tank is now full.

This is why I can honestly say I am called out in some threads about FB and CPR. I like him and want him to be the guy to lead us back. Can he do it? I don't know, but I really like him and want him to do it and I fell like, if he can do it, he'd stick around because this is his home and his destination job.

90% of all people cannot write a paragraph as coherent as what your son wrote after his bell was rung. Good luck to both of you!
