I really am excited for the upcoming game this Thursday! I really hope Niang and his fellow seniors can run Iowa off the court.

I'll take a win period. It will be a tough game.
I'm more anxious for this game than I was initially. We've had some pretty ugly stretches offensively, while Iowa has looked better than I expected, overall.

I don't think a loss is a strong possibility, but Iowa is definitely good enough to take advantage if we have a poor shooting night.

Sagarin predictions for the rest of the non-con:

Buffalo - ISU by 21
Iowa - ISU by 7
UAPB - ISU by 36
UNI - ISU by 9
@ Cincinnati - Cincy by 1
Coppin State - ISU by 33

I would take a 7 point win instead of a beatdown

Another cool thing about the Sagarin rankings right now is that Iowa State would be a favorite against every team in the country at Hilton. And wouldn't be more than a 3 point underdog against anyone on a neutral floor.

Iowa's Superbowl. Makes it tough for the blow out when they will give us everything the have. I only see us winning by about 18

I'm glad this game is in Hilton. Hopefully Niang and Naz are ready to go out winners in this series.

Iowa is decent. We'll likely be #2/3 in the country on our home floor. Not saying we'll repeat last year's performance, but we're the better team by a good distance. Go out and play ISU basketball and we win without a lot of issue.

And as long as there is a single digit ranking by ISU....you can expect that from everyone here on out. Guys will have to get used to being the hunted instead of the hunter. Would feel better if Burton was eligible because I think Fran-con is going to try and get Niang and Mckat in foul trouble right away. It's their only hope of pulling it out.

Just glad the game will be in Hilton this year.

Iowa is something of a different team this year, even though they have several senior starters back.

They actually have found some people who can hit 3 point shots, as consistently and as often as ISU teams do. They also play some pretty decent defense from what I have seen, and in particular Uthoff has been a shot-blocking machine (23) so far this year. Woodbury is still Dingleberry though. One....yes one......block in over 185 minutes so far. What a waste of 7+ feet in height. It should be noted that each of ISU's top 6 players have more blocks than Woodbury. Hallice is tied with him with only one.

Iowa does not appear to be as good of a rebounding team as they have been in the past, yet they are getting 40 per game. So far this year, they are also not shooting many more free throws than their opponents.

I think the game will be close as I don't think ISU is hitting on all cylinders yet, especially the outside shooting. I just don't see how Iowa matches up with ISU though. I have no idea how Fran will try and cover the combination of McKay and Niang (and Nader) with what he has available to him. I can't wait to see if Woodbury tries to chase Jameel down the court, and how long that lasts. Monte, Georges and Naz (and the others) will not let ISU lose this game at Hilton though.

I am way more nervous for the UNI game. I honestly feel like that is going to be a loss.

I hate when **** like this is posted because it usually ends up biting us in the *** (ahem Cydkar).

Just win. Period.
Dear Lord that was five years ago and I was just trying to be ultra positive. Don't be afraid that a messageboard thread will affect the outcome of the game.

Potential foul trouble will probably make me nervous before every big game.

Georges will be ready and this should be a solid-easy win. I think closer than we'd like, but still 8-15 pts.
