Could this team become the best team in Cyclone MBB History?

Fizer's hypothetical senior year is a great what-if for ISU. I don't fault him for leaving early, his stock had nowhere to go but down, but gosh how good would that team have been?

With Fizer, Horton, and Tinsley all spacing the floor, I'm not sure Jake Sullivan would have missed a three all year.

I'll also never understand why NBA teams insisted on trying to play Marcus at small forward. ISU listed him him at 6'8" which was probably an exaggeration in all but the tallest and thickest of basketball shoes, but the guy was an absolute unit on the block. He was a great athlete for his size/strength but was still way too slow to guard or drive on NBA small forwards. Everyone at the time wanted their "power forward" to be Tim Duncan- and Kevin Garnett-sized.

I believe Fizer was also practically chronically hurt in his NBA stint.

He was probably never going to live up to his draft status but he was developing until tearing his ACL

Torn acl makes it tough for a guy who was already challenged in lateral quickness at the nba level

If ISU wins the Big XII Regular Season Title, they will equal the 2000-2001 Team.

If ISU wins the Big XII Regular Season + Big XII Tournament and makes it to the Elite 8, they will equal the 1999-2000 Team.

If ISU makes the Final Four (with or without winning one of the Big XII Trophies), they will equal the 1944 Team.

If ISU wins the Big XII Regular Season + the Big XII Tournament + makes the Final Four, they will definitely be the best ISU Team of all-time.

If ISU wins the National Championship, Clone Cones for EVERYBODY!
