Why? Michigan has taken a beating from Michigan State with in-state recruiting. Mann could change that quite a bit.

He could, but he won't. They're bringing him in, IMO, for a defensive mind as was the idea when he came here. He'll be in a really similar situation where he is the defensive guy for a head coach who apparently either doesn't care all that much about defense or doesn't know how to coach it. I really didn't think Beilein would hire him. Polar opposite personalities but maybe that's what Beilein thinks he needs.
