While he didn't seem to fit what ISU was looking for in a guard, it's still nice to seem some of the ISU transients doing well. Corey McIntosh seems to have found a good fit for himself at Augustana in South Dakota--so much for leaving ISU to be closer to home : )

Augustana's Corey McIntosh has been named the North Central Conference Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for the second week in a row, the league office announced today.

McIntosh, a senior guard from West Covina, Calif., had a big weekend as he helped the Vikings to a 1-1 record in the opening week of NCC play. Augustana fell 98-97 in double overtime at No. 12 Nebraska-Omaha on Thursday before beating previously-unbeaten and third-ranked South Dakota 95-90 in overtime on Saturday.

McIntosh, who shared the award with Minnesota State's Jake Morrow, scored 12 points, grabbed a career-high 9 rebounds and dished out 6 assists against Nebraska-Omaha. He then scored a career-high 37 points and handed out a career-high 9 assists in the victory over USD. In that game, he made 12 of 23 field goals and 12 of 13 free throws.

For the week, he averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He shot 41 percent from the field and 94.1 percent from the free throw line.

Augustana (13-4, 1-1 NCC) continues North Central Conference play this week with a pair of road games. The Vikings travel to Minnesota Duluth on Thursday before visiting No. 20 St. Cloud State on Saturday.

I can't help but believe if McD could have convinced Taggert to stay and if Mike Taylor would have worked out, we would be very competitive.

Carr would have helped too, but I cannot stand playing this game. It is pointless.

It's the big 12 brother.

You are exactly right. I guess you can say this sort of thing about a guy who left us but raise this same sort of skepticism about a guy that is coming in (Eikmeier) and you are considered a 'hater".

I wouldn't take Taggart and his lazy attitude back if he came begging.

Mike Taylor on the other hand might of been a bonehead off the court, but on the court his energy and hustle were infectious to the rest of the team. I really believe we would be a true bubble team with Taylor on this team.
