Cooper DeJean injured?

Actually, Sanders had a short NFL career that was derailed by injuries. He only had a couple fully healthy years.
You are correct, only played in 50 games over 8 years - basically 2 full seasons and 6 with very little action. Shockingly little play for 8 years.

Those mid-2000s Colts teams were really good so must have remembered that and extrapolated to a lot more than it actually was.

Not really. One or two posters may have chirped in but for the most part it condolences have been sent.

I think the atomic bomb comment got several likes and laughs. Along with more posts talking about the winds blowing any fallout further east so all was well.

Several more posts, likes and post of the year nomination for a post making fun of his running style. This one is funny because his running style would best be described as fast and very fluid.

More posts making fun of him getting hurt while practicing fair catches.

Another poster asked, "Is this guy even a starter"

Hey if I was an Iowa State fan I'd hate Iowa too. It can't be easy losing that much to the same team.

I didn't realize that either until I read an article on The Athletic I think it was from last year about his time with the Colts. Really good article with quotes from Manning and others about how impactful he was when was on the field for them.

Maybe true, but we don't know what Coopers career will be like.
Also, you can't deny that CDJ pretty much single handedly carried the Hawkeyes.

The craziest part about his game is his special teams cover skills. I don't think I've ever seen a guy, who plays every defensive down no less, be able to evade/beat blocks on STs like he can. When you combine that ability with Taylor's punting prowess it's a lethal combination. Unfortunately there's no real way to quantify the impact but I'd say (with confidence) Taylor would be 25% less effective if the Hawks didn't have Cooper flying down and tackling guys, catching kicks, or stopping them before it rolls into the end zone. The guys is literally the first guy down there on 95% of his punts.

I think DeJean will be a very good player in the NFL. I will say that whatever team that drafts him would be smart to also draft Taylor and keep DeJean in the special teams role. Usually I'd find it laughable but I do think that combination can also be a weapon at the next level.

If we want to cherry pick insensitive comments from each fanbase we'll be here the rest of the year. Message boards are clearly serious business to you and comments made, most likely in jest, appear to bother you enough to comment here. I can't help you if you choose to lump an entire fanbase based on a few comments made on a message board. That speaks more to your inability to see past a rivalry than anything.

For the record, I've seen equally bad, if not worse stuff on Iowa message boards aimed at ISU. I certainly don't think a majority of Iowa fans feel that way and I didn't get worked up enough to comment on it because...you know...it's the internet and people say really dumb stuff all the time. You're a shining example of that.

I think he could be an all pro safety in the NFL. I wouldn’t put him at corner.

As for anyone on here wishing any harm or injury on anyone, or happy about someone being injured…. go F yourself. Grow up! You’re an embarrassment to all Cyclone fans.

As a general principle we hate the fans more than the players.

Exception being some of the basketball player/fans. Bobo getting knocked out was hilarious.

Well wishes to Cooper. I have seen him play since the HS Playoffs his Senior year. One of the best/well rounded high school football players I have seen. If I remember right, he was recruited by Iowa State to be a QB. I would assume because Iowa State signed Dekkers, he didn't come here. There is no telling where he would be if he played QB. Special things happen when he has the football in his hands.

JorBo got what he had coming for being a d-bag punk. DeJean has never been like that at all. In fact just the opposite…. he usually just hands the ball to the ref and isn’t even cocky or arrogant at all.

Yeah I really haven't seen Iowa much but I don't recall much from him abd I generally don't see much b.s. from their football team.
