Cooke Suspended Today

Yes! This team simply doesn't have the sharp shooters of years past. Working the ball more and focusing on stopping opponents has taken considerable more importance.

There seems to be a dip in assists, doesn't look or feel like the same offense Fred used.

Also, esp after a bad shooting game, fred would make a comment about not making enough passes. Like one or two more passes and we would have had the shot we are looking for.

Random: I know I have had situations where I had a new boss and when they asked me questions about how things worked in our office, I would just tell them what I wanted to hear. I think that's what some the guys are doing with prohm regarding offensive sets and he's funally putting it on lockdown.

Seems like what CSP has been touting publicly, i.e. pushing only when it's there, moving the ball better even if that means using more clock, etc. is an attempt to get them back to "assist ball." Guess only time will tell.

What I probably should have said earlier rather than "maximize" was that Fred wanted to shorten the clock on offense while still getting a good shot. But he typically had five threats from deep so it was easier to get a shot earlier in the possession.

Is Cooke a leader on a D-1 basketball team?

No.

He asked what would happen if this had been Morris or Niang instead. I said it wouldn't happen to them because they wouldn't show up late in the first place. He said everybody runs late once in awhile. Referring to Morris & Niang, I said leaders of a D-1 bball team do not.

Link? Everyone does once in a while.

George seems like the type of guy, that would be in the gym already even if there was no practice.

Cooke was really active tonight on the bench and did a great job helping his teammates. Very impressed and proud of that.

I think (and hope) we'll see him get some good minutes at TCU. Play solid basketball there and we've got ourselves our 8 men just in time for Kansas!
