Cooke Suspended Today

Seriously guys, let's stop the stupid speculation. Cook was late to a practice and the new rule is that means an automatic game suspension. A little shock to the system is a good thing and Prohm is doing the very little he can to try and reel in a bunch of previously coddled pre madonnas. He knows he can't do much as they're such an emotionally fragile group and already bicker and throw punches about anything.

I love our guys and hope they get it together and play to their potential, but if not, I can't wait for Prohm to have his guys he can coach his way.
Lol. I love how you start with "let's stop the stupid speculation" and proceed to attack the entire team and call them "fragile" and "pre madonnas" (it's prima donna, by the way... oh, and it's Cooke, not Cook).

The only player who has any history of being even remotely "emotionally fragile" is McKay. Please point out one time Naz, Monte, Georges, Deonte, Ashton, Carter, or Matt were "emotionally fragile." They've been nothing but professional in their respective times at Iowa State. It's mind-boggling to me that people relentlessly attack these guys for giving everything they have.

I think most people guessed it was McKay, just too polite to point it out.

The guy was late for practice, lets not act like he is the next BDJ.

Take this FWIW, a friend who was talking to a guy who 'writes for Iowa State' said Cooke was about 5 minutes late to practice. Prohm threatened to sit him for the first half tonight, & Cooke mouthed off to him.

Not sure if it's legitimate or not, just what I heard.

Good for Prohm. Kids are kids so that doesn't shock me. But you need to back up your threats and it sounds like Prohm just did.

Well if true, hopefully Cooke realizes he is replaceable with the way Ashton played today

Yep, this is exactly what I took away from it as well. Shows the team you're not ******* around & won't put up with ********.

For some reason it reminds me of the story about Floyd getting on Hoiberg for little to no reason in effort to let others on the team to know he was in charge. Obviously not the same just a funny Floyd story.

Actually glad this happened. Coach needs to step up and show this team who is in charge. I'm ok with him trying to let the guys play and do what they do best, but he also needs to do his job and coach these kids when they aren't doing things right. Hopefully the team realizes he means business.

I remember that. story was Fred was late as well. Ive been thinking about that team lately actually because Orr had just retired the previous year and the general line of thought was that he left Floyd a core of returning upperclassmen who were ready to compete for the upper tier of the conference. That team finished the Big 8 conference season at 6-8. The following season Floyd got "his" guys to run "his" system and defensive empasis. Willoughby, Pratt, Cato, Bankhead and company went 9-5 in conference.

FYI I posted that one handed while holding my 4 day old premie in my other hand, so sorry if autocorrect didn't like a couple words, but it doesn't seem to mind ***.
