Contacting Roomate

My roommate contacted me via facebook. I was pretty easy to find I'm sure. I haven't received any messages yet through webmail, so it's understandable that some wouldn't look at their account.

Back in the dark ages when I was a freshman (1997), we wrote each other letters.

My freshman year was the first year that Facebook came about. Also back when your profile picture was your only picture. I saw his profile picture, thought, "couldnt be that bad right?" Man, I could not have been more wrong.

I was a freshman the same year. My roommate actually called me from Puerto Rico before the school year started - I was amazed she would make that expense! I would call him - it gives you a chance to establish a connection before you even see each other.

I can honestly say I was in college before Facebook came out :yes:

And someone (I forget who) dragged me onto Facebook before the Daily had a story about it

Kinda weird now to think about how back you had to check to see if Facebook was even offered at a particular University before you could look up a friend if they didn't go to your school...
