I don't know if this has been brought up, but has anyone else noticed watching College Game Day that there is always one Hawkeye sign in the crowd no matter where they are? I think the Iowa athletic department hired someone to go to where Game Day is to hold up a sign. You can't tell me there is a Hawkeye fan in every city that has time to go to Game Day and hold up a sign all morning. I think it's the same sign too.

I think you underestimate the number and passion of hawk fans. We should hope to have crazies like that who just go to rep their team.
exactly. it's the same washington state flag every week too. i wonder if the guy just follows gameday around all fall, like hippies do with phish.
i have noticed and I am betting it is some retired hawk fan with nothing better to do... doubt it is official, but rather some bored old rich man.
Evidently WSU has a group of fans around the nation and a couple of flags they send around to the closest fan and have them visit the game with the flag. Betting Iowa is doing something similar. We were asked to join in by the PAC schools, but felt that horning in on someone's "thing" just wasn't right. I'm betting Iowa fans had no such qualms about doing it.
