Mason is a liability. This KU team has major weakness. I wouldn't be shocked if they had a first round exit this year. Then Selden, Oubre and Alexander go pro and they miss out on their big targets.

If Self took some pointers from Fred about how to run an offense he might now how to use top 35 talent like Frankamp. Actually he didn't even know how to use Wiggins all that well.
Easy, twocoach. Even some of us CFers including you could look great against some of the cupcake exhibition teams. I'm exaggerating obviously but I think you get the point.
The advice Self could give to Hoiberg on defense would far outweigh anything Hoiberg could teach Self about offense.
I think Hoiberg is an offensive wizard, I really don't think Self is a wizard at either offense or defense he's just overall a terrific coach. If anything I'd want him to teach Hoiberg how to win on the road.
Because...?
Self's teams routinely are among the top 10 in defensive efficiency. Fred has yet to coach a team to top 50.
Come on Bill Self gets to literally pick the most athletic and huge basketball athletes in the country. Give Hoiberg the same athletes and the gap will be much smaller at the very least.
Must be tough to coach defense with Embiid, Cliff Alexander, Jeff Withey, the Morris twins, ect
Rumor has it that Self is teaching a remedial course next semester called "Finishing Within Two Games of the Conference Champion." Maybe Fred will be interested?
Fred can show him the book he wrote on "maximizing talent instead of blowing your wad in the regular season and bouncing before the Sweet 16 with top 3 talent in the nation "
