Connor Frankamp transferring

Other than the fact that they're both white, and both guards, Custer and Frankamp are not very similar.

Yep. Already have Custer and Thomas. Not to be racist or anything but they play the same role essentially.

What does race have to do with your statement? I've read the post over and over and I'm dumbfounded at this point. If you think there was something racist about it, it might be a "you" problem.

Frankamp was a great high school shooter but was not big or fast enough to be able to get himself and open look or shoot over the top of good defense. His best skill was his shooting and he was not better than a mediocre shooter at this level due to his lack of size and athleticism. There's nothing wrong with realizing your limitations.

I disagree with you here. I still think Frankamp would have been, and will be, a really nice player with time. Shooting is the most important skill in basketball, and there aren't many better shooters out there. I think that's a guy you want around, and especially so if he can improve other areas of his game. I think he'll still be a really nice player wherever he ends up. The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am that he's leaving.

I have to agree that comparing Frankamp and Custer is off target. While both could technically be called combo guards it you wanted to stretch it, Frankamp is a quality 2 (evidenced by his recruiting ranking) who is undersized for the 2 and struggles at the point. Custer is a quality pg who is the same size as Frankamp but was not being recruited to play the 2. His size will not be as big of an issue in college at the point.

Comparing the two and suggesting one is "a poor man's" other, especially now when no one has seen Custer in a single college game is beyond silly.

You guys forget, KU fans hate the majority of the guards on their teams, so you shouldn't be surprised when they hate on this one too. Par for the course, my friends.

They are both short and both lack the elite quickness you need to succeed at a high D1 level at that size. In that way, they are the same, but Custer is a better passer and Frankamp is a better shooter.

I know Wichita St is the logical landing spot for him, but I have a feeling that Creighton will be where he ends up

We should see if Fennelly will let Brynn play for the men's team also based on this

Frankamp is a legit D1 player; maybe not suited for a top 5 team like KU, but I would't mind if Fred didn't. Will Fran take a shot? - speaking of Iowa, based on your illogical response, you'd probably fit it better there.
