Conference realignment train coming down the tracks again?

If Delaney died I bet you could stick your head out the window, anywhere in the U.S., and hear cheering.

I understand capitalism and I understand greed. There is a difference.

I hate the thought of playing in a 16 team conference.

We should add Colorado, Nebraska, aTm, and Missouri. Natural fit.

Sine confrence realignment I have payed less attention to college football outside ISU. They took what was a dynamic landscape in college football and turned it into a strip mall in subrubia with a big parking lot.

If you are pro-playoff in college football, it is somewhat hypocritical to be anti-conference expansion. The two go hand in hand, you want to make college football's post season more like the NFL, well the regular season is going to become more like that too. 16 team conferences, 9 or 10 conference games a year, a round of interconference playoffs before the national playoffs.

College football has went from a regional sport with established bowl tie ins, to a minor league NFL. Having regional conferences doesn't make sense anymore, having four superconferences fit in much better with a playoff.

We are going to be hosed with the divisions if the big 12 expands to 16. I'm sure they'll go east/west divisions and we would end up in the east. Even if they go with 4 pods i'm sure all the Tx schools will be in 1 pod and then OK, OSU, KU, KSU will be in another which would send us east again.

I really hope the New York television providers give the Big 10 Network the middle finger when they come looking to force it on to basic tiers in that market.

They won't - not now that Fox Sports owns YES. If New York cable providers want to keep showing Yankees games, they're going to have to put BTN on the basic tier.

I'd rather ISU was hosed by being in a not-so-ideal division but continues to rake in scores of millions of TV dollars than be hosed because CUSA is its best remaining option.

I'd bet the deals are already in place, maybe not signed. Kind of like applying to the conference - schools don't officially apply until they know they'll get in.

I was out in San Francisco this week and you can order the BTN through Comcast. It is nationwide already through Comcast who owns NBC.
