Yeah, my wife says I just jabber non stop during the recovery and has to tell me to shut up. I remember none of it.
Mine is an 8 oz. glass. I fill it about 6 oz. and down it. I have never been able to sip, and until I got the lemons could never finish the full gallon without gagging.
What happens if I gag? You aren't getting the full effect of the medicine, does that screw everything up for the prep?

Did you get the white chalky stuff? And you could just get some Miralax and drink it as well. If you puke.
As long as you follow the directions about eating the 2 days prior, you'll be fine. Since I know I can never finish the full gallon, I start the fasting early. They've always been able to get a clean view. If it's a gallon, and you get at least 75-80% down, you'll be good.
That is what I had my very first time. I mixed it with sprite and I didn't gag at all.
There are different formulas that you can drink. The newer ones don't require you to drink a lot of stuff. My cocktail didn't taste horrible either. At the procedure I counted backwards from 100 and got to 98 and I was lights out. Afterwards I remember stumbling to the car like a drunken sailor with my wife and nurse. They poured me into the passenger seat and I was out like a light until I got home. Good times.

I go to clear liquids & broths & jello two days before hand. The purpose of the prep is to flush you completely clean, so when you get to the point in the prep where what comes out is mostly water, you're good.
For three years I was on a six month repeat cycle. Can't remember whether it was the fifth or sixth one in that rotation, but I had my hubby use a sharpie to draw a smiley face on my right cheek. Figured my doc knew my sense of humor by then.
There was a mirror image of it on my left cheek after the procedure. Apparently he shared my sense of humor.
Damn, that is a small prep. The ones I usually get are 8oz of this thick syrupy liquid and you have to drink 16 of them. It is all you can do to not throw up by the end just because of the volume.
16oz is not bad, I would just mix it with cold water and chug.
That is the worst. I couldn't drink it all I tried my hardest though was gagging so bad. Was literally one of the most miserable experiences

Just finished up a couple hours ago. Was completely out during procedure, so didn't feel or remember a thing. Fasting for 2 days, really helped the prep, which wasn't too bad at all. Thanks for everyone's help, really good advice on here.
We went to HuHot afterwards for lunch, as I was starving. Could have easily driven, but probably better not to take chances.
