I had a 6' Texas Bull Snake in my kitchen one day. Son of a ***** must've been a pet but it'd been living/hiding in my place....
So a Cobra is just another day in Texas
Obligatory "This is why I live where the air hurts my face" comment.
Never fear, in TX our Kingsnakes eat other venomous snakes:

Every time I think, "when I retire I'm living somewhere warm all year" I see things like this and think "you know, as long as you don't leave the house, Iowa winters aren't that bad"
