TJ gets the job and everyone is happy that they searched high and low. we have one year and then it will be Fred who, how his transfer strategy wasn't good for the long term health of the program, resentment that he didn't build it to sustain, etc. We need to win a lot and give the new guy some time. College basketball isn't worth 3-5 million. Save that money for the next football coach where the bills get paid. Welcome aboard TJ, the best candidate available for a small budget

Unless you think Nick Saban or Urban Meyer are legit options...you're just ******* away money buying out CPR. Chiz was bailed out by his agent and some stupid AU donors. But he showed that going to ISU is more likely to ruin your shot at a top gig than it is to help you get there. You want a 'also ran' P5 assistant? Got any top D-1A guys in mind?

ISU is cursed when it comes to FB...legitimately.
Stuck in B10 territory as an outlier.
Northern most B12 team.
Small population, old, white state with 2 D1 programs and a national power D-1A program to compete against.
No tradition.
Small budget.
Cold weather.

BUT let's just say for the sake of argument JP catches lighting in a bottle and hires a grand slam coach.

How long does that guy last? 20 minutes after the bowl game? 10 days? A month?

You're wanting to kill our most successful program and take the money to the casino and just put it all on black and let it ride until it's gone.

I believe Jeremy has told the moderators and once the process is over they are to confirm whether or not the new coach was one Jeremy named.

So, if the new coach isnt one of the 2 mystery names, only the privledged few get to know who they were? What is the harm to ISU if the names come out on he board after everything is over? I don't care to know the names now, but would like to hear who we might have had.

I am under the impression that these coaches are not in the category. These are guys we would be extremely excited about if we hired them and they'd be worth the money. Once you go down the list even a little bit you get to the Prohms, the Underwoods, ect. I doubt those type of guys are who we are talking about.

Brey is not in that category.
