Coaches talk about one another ...

Another coach gets it:

“Recruiting is difficult for them. They go all over to find kids and they don’t get the first pick, obviously. They have to go get some kids from Florida and obviously get into Texas. Not a lot of players in their backyard. It’s tough.”

“Not very often are they just blown out on the field.”

This definitely wasn't from Bob Stoops

Not very often are we blown out? Huh?

To sum for those who don't want to read: "Rhoads and Co do a great job. Please don't fire them."

Is this one of those things where you say positive things about your ****** neighbor so you look better by comparison?

I believe it's a reflection of how coaches actually view rival programs. There's great respect in the fraternity and that probably tempers their comments. No one called Tech's coach a youngster or Ku's an idiot.

Like the respectful comments that McDermott always received.

You beat me to it. Opposing coaches used to fall all over themselves to praise McDermott, in the hopes that he and ISU would never part ways. Thank you Creighton (and Oregon)!!!

I'm now convinced we're like the fat friend with a good personality.

Patronizing as they might have been, those comments were still better than the "Maybe they can get some good JUCO's?" that they came up with for KU.

Or Snyder a soul-selling vampire...:jimlad:
