No doubt he is one of the best coaches ever, but this season is evidently starting to wear on him. Won't shake all of the opposing players after a loss, jokes about not knowing Duke's ranking after the 'over-rated' chant in Miami, and complains about only having six guys. He should try to do it at Iowa State with six guys and non of them being McD AAs.

Relax. They're playing shorthanded in a conference where UNC is better than it's been in several years, Virginia/Louisville/Pitt/Miami/Notre Dame all have very good teams, and a few of the recent bottom-dwellers (Clemson, VA Tech) are starting to get it together.

Saw his comments. He is ******. Pretty much a non player in conference this season. One injury and they went into the crapper.

After being a coach for 30+ years I don't think you can say this one season is wearing on him. I think he takes his losses and moves on and tries to improve. Its not like he'll fold after one week of not being ranked even if it has been however many consecutive weeks

He went after some Duke students asking like douchecanoes yelling at Syracuse players after the game. It has nothing to do with him being a poor sport.

If you step back and look, I can see some similarities between Duke and KU. Both teams not as talented as they thought and the other teams in the conference good enough to knock them around. So as a coach expecting to win 80% of their games, and now they aren't, that might make some people a little cranky.

I have to give Coach K credit- after a loss he has never blamed it on the brand of ball that was used in the game.

If he was going after Duke students being douchecanoes, he should have been doing that for the past 30 years also.

Yeah, the fact that people don't bother to realize that and respect it is kind of sad.

You start playing the one and done game, it's going to bite you every few years.

Coach K has to defend his actions again. Doesn't like Brooks 'showing off' in last night's game. Again, he's a great coach and very gracious when he wins.

I think the whole thing is a little overblown. However, if all he said was "You're a terrific player", he took a hell of a lot of time to say it. That was an extended exchange between him and Brooks.

Yeah and you could see Brooks say something like, "I'm sorry, my bad". Pretty sure he wouldn't respond that way to being called a terrific player. Seems strange for Coach K to lie about it.

If I was Brooks I would have replied, "Thanks Coach, your Hall of Famer, but if you don't want me scoring then have your team play some defense."

It is interesting that he would lie about it. I could clearly see Brooks say "My Bad" like 5 times last night to him in the line. I thought it was weird.

I see it the other way. He was lying to protect brooks. As parents, how often have you pulled a kid aside and said something like, hey if you do that again, youre getting an *** whooping. Then the other kids say what did you just say to him, and you say oh I just asked if he was having fun. Coach K said that as to not embarrass the kid. Class act in my book.

Maybe he should focus on getting his own player to not trip opponents during games before he scolds another team's player. Think he is losing it a little

Great coach, but I've never respected him for how he's a sore loser. I've seen several times where he doesn't shake hands with the opposing coaches and players after a loss. That's bush league IMO. Win with class and lose with class.
