Clemson / Notre Dame ending...

Going to set a reminder to check back on this post in 2 weeks.

Will be interesting to see.

Despite the disinformation in the OP, fans on field were wearing masks and outside. Is that enough to help? Also Covid Clemson dude seemed to be sketchy with mask and Dabo was sure to lower his to scream in people’s faces. ND already postponed Wake Forest game because a bunch of players got Covid that they traced back to exposure at their pregame meal the week before. So several of the players still probably have some immunity.

So are you expecting this to be a "super spreader" event or not? Want to get it on record.

Not really sure due to mix of factors. That’s why I listed things that go both ways and find it interesting to find out.

My guess is parties outside the stadium after the game are a much higher risk than masked fans outside but not socially distancing in the stadium.

If I was the ref Dabo was screaming at with point blank range when he got the obvious PI reversed with two minutes left in the game, I would be scheduling a Covid test soon.

ND now uses plexiglass at the tables for pregame meals. Not sure how many players have had Covid, was initially 7 to postpone WF.

ND had excellent attendance for the game; not sure what the allotted capacity allowed, but it seemed > 50%. BTW, anybody see our attendance figure from last night? Did they increase allotment too ?

I also don’t know how you can watch that epic game and the first thought you have is to ask about masks and social distancing. It’s bizarre

Really? I mean, I don’t know how you can watch any game and just forget about the pandemic. Stadiums are empty, sidelines all have masks, games are cancelled, players like Lawrence are sitting out, etc.

If you can that’s great, wish I could, just not sure how.

Great win for the Irish but the field is filled with kids/adults with no masks and no distancing, etc... What a friggin' mess.
Exactly what I thought as they were celebrating a win against a team that didnt have the nations best player because he was going through Covid Protocol. Unreal, but a great game.

Stadium holds 80,795.

With percentage they allow, could have been around 15,000.

Announced attendance a little over 11,000.

Those that attend are students, families of players, and university staff.

Thanks; it looked more than 11K. AD must have had a lot of requests for tix as did they players.

Students, Staff and Family only in the stadium. Students have to test negative in order to be allowed in the stadium. Notre Dame has already been exposed to Covid anyway. They should be more worried about Boston College next week.

Like Lawrence, he was also a five star, #1 QB in his class. Also the guy who beat out Re-al Mitchell in HS, iirc.

With COVID levels not only rising, but setting records?

Anyone with a lick of common sense.

Whether you’re locking down and mandating masks or not, no one has been able to keep COVID under control. Time to let people go about their lives and make their own choices.
