The only fanbase that is enjoying Niang's injury are the Hawks. Some of their classless fans are just sickening. Important to note that not all of their fans are happy about Niang's injury, but some of them are if you check their blogs.

I have rooted for the Hawks to fail, but based on their own sucktitude. Would never cheer for an injury.
 
Yep. They are disgusting. Again, they are part of the reason their team crumbled this year. Not many teams can say that, but Iowa can. Just disgusting.
 
Their are idiots in any fanbase. I am sure some cyclones would be the same way if the situation was reversed. Problem is these idiots can form a loud vocal minority through the use of social media, and they are gutless people that hide behind a keyboard. Sad that this is what the media is becoming.

There were a few Cyclone idiots taking advantage of Fran McCaffery's son. This kind of sickness runs in all fan bases, especially when those fan bases are rivals. Doesn't make it any more right, but there it is.
 
Do you have a link to these blogs? I would like to see this. HN had some bad threads, which is to be expected from them, but blogging about an injury takes it another step IMO.
 
No need to waste time reading their crap..they haven't had anything positive to cheer about for quite some time..so the really nasty and stupid ones are just trying to bring others down to feel better. It's pathetic but nothing worth worrying about.

This. A few DB's don't define a fan base......even though on message boards they seem to....

Normally I would say "link or it didn't happen" but in this case I don't need proof to know that some Hawk fans are classless. Anyone who makes fun of a kid breaking his foot and ending his season should have it come back to them tenfold.

I agree with you. I would just like to know what bloggers he is talking about.
 
Iowa fans are bitter/jealous/delusional and hate Iowa State. It's why when I see or hear Cyclone fans say they root for Iowa when they aren't playing Iowa State, it makes me to punch them repeatedly

Is "ignore the idiots out there" really that much of a reach?

Just because some of them are stupid, doesn't mean they're all like that.
 
I always laugh when hawk fans try to say say that we're the classless ones. They have absolutly no room to talk. While there are jerks in our fanbase, there are many more in theirs

Took me a few posts but I thought you were talking abuot KU fans, not Iowa fans.

From what I have seen KU fans are bummed about Niang (there was the obligatory one or two douchebags that were happy about it) and most seemed to think ISU had a great chance at a Final Four with Niang but those chances have diminished greatly.

I forget sometimes that you guys hate the Hawkeyes too :D Not just the Jayhawks.

Still, my condolences on losing Niang. Matchup nightmare for just about every team in the country.

Yeah Hawkeyes. Jayhawks fans have been nothing but classy. I always root for KU.
