Chris can we PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE

Living in Eastern Iowa, I dont have to listen to this ******. However, when I drove town to the boys state basketball tourney, I turned on the radio to hear Matt start talking about Notre Dame joining the Big10. Long story short: I got to call in, gave my point without getting upset, without using profanity, and by being very civil. Matt kept cutting me off telling me I was wrong when he was contradicting himself over and over and over again. Finally, when I pointed out that he was contradicting himself, he hung up on me and acted like I hung up when he kept going on.

I would never listen to him ever again.

I will say this...That was one of the most uncomfortable situations I have ever been in....EVER.

That was even uncomfortable to listen to! I can only imagine the look on everyone's face in the studio when John came on and ruined Matt's ****!!! Even Marty Tirell Jr. (Matt) was speechless.....for a few golden seconds.

I have a feeling that podcast will be pretty well downloaded from KXNO.com ....

I'm not defending Matt, but I expect more out of Walters than to come down to that level right off the bat in that interview. Take the high road as the voice of the Cyclones, man.

I get that, but those are the moments in life you're judged by the most - good or bad.

He came away on the plus side for me. John is payed to tell it like it is so its nice to see once in awhile that he is just as passionate about Iowa State as I am. He's definitely one of us.

I have no problem with the way John handled it - way to go Walters!

I think its funny that Matt was so worried about Gillespies personality/issues but thought he was a great coach, yet when John brought up Fred as a great person, Matt was worried about his lack of coaching. Basically we couldnt go right with anyone that wasnt Izzo, kind of like what John said. As for me- I am scared about this, but will support the Mayor 120%, like Diamond Dave. If nothing else the curiousity alone will be enough for me to buy season tickets again.

Just listened, I think John was putting Matt and others on notice to give Fred some room.

I also think Matt has busted on ISU enough that he is gettin close as persona non-grata for just about everyone associated with any program at ISU.

Matt is probably worse in the flopping in the breeze aspect than Marty is - and that is really, really saying something.

Perhaps John should not have slapped Matt in the kisser right off the bat, but he delivered a message with it.

I do not listen to that show, but if Matt does not gather any more facts than what he did for that segment I can't see where he will have any long term success.
