You see story after story of people taking it accidentally and dying. It’s incredibly cheap to manufacture with a huge profit margin. It’s getting mixed with more traditional drugs for a reason. Cheap and potent. It’s a business, they wouldn’t use it if it wasn’t making them more money.

Fentanyl by itself is extremely cheap, because it comes in so many forms it is more approachable than a wide variety of other substances. Patches, lozenges, injectables, tabs, sprays, makes it very easy to get people hooked and doesn’t often come with the typical drug paraphernalia.
Also for the record binge drinking could easily cause this with those insane temps, doesn’t have to be something more.
Nobody who likes good coke wants anything that even resembles fentanyl is what he is saying. I don't get why they cut it with that either. Good coke is going to have a gas taste/smell to it.
As far as the forum original topic, that doesn't really make sense why the guy didn't notice their vehicles still in his drive way for two days.
I agree but I think plenty of people want good coke but don’t have control over exactly what they buy and end up with something else. And if that’s all they have, well they do it.
I would think binge drinking if it was one person. But I can’t see three people all passing out incapacitated in the freezing cold at the same time like that.
Sure I'm not saying it isn't plausible or even likely. I have heard of weed getting laced with it though, and that just made no sense to me.
But why not cut it with aspirin so it still resembles good coke? That way your desperate buyer lives and is able to continue to buy your lousy cut coke.

Another good reason why everyone should have Narcan in their car and at their home. You can get it for free and it’s extremely easy to use. If you’re right about an OD it can easily save a life with virtually zero negative side effects
Users of what? A lot of people dying from this aren't even intending to buy it. There are a lot of people(good people too)who recreationally do things like coke from time to time and don't deserve that happening to them. Could be someone you're close to sometime.
Guessing you can stretch your coke out and sell more if you cut it with a substance that gets people high?
It's the complete opposite drug though. It makes total sense for someone to cut heroin or something like that with it. Not coke. Totally counteracting effects. I realize it's happenings its just kind of weird.

There have been places that have been able to help similar situations. The problem is when someone knowledgeable gets in front of congress it somehow turns into some partisan BS and no one actually listens to or enforces any sort of solution to any of it. Jelly Roll put it into the perspective of losing an airplanes worth of people everyday to this stuff and it’s like it just fell on deaf ears. Not that pharma is totally responsible, but the corruption there is just totally inexcusable because it would be sooooo easy to put a stop to but to do that you’d have to alienate big money donors. I just can’t get over how much mainstream entertainment has covered this particular topic and nothing is done.
Speed ball has been the drug of extreme users choice for a while. Most of the people in the 28 club died from a speed ball. I can't really explain it's appeal but I imagine it has something to do with not being able to fill that original high you are chasing and having to go higher and higher with the stakes.
Portugal is frankly a miracle case and I think the entire world should be implementing their policies. They have completely changed their drug addiction epidemic. Radical changes to the legal system for drug use and it has worked.
