Oh, so a large amount of people on CycloneFanatic went to ISU? Color me shocked.
That says nothing about the fan base as a whole.
What does HN have to do with this site, or anything being discussed in this thread?
One reason for the poll (the other for curiosity sake) and the usual ISU fan line is that most of their fans have some connection to ISU. Tuco, in this thread, stated as a public university, half of the ISU fans wouldn't have that connection. Thus the poll, although a small sample size, was to demonstrate that he's probably incorrect.
I brought up HN due to your comment. HN is a fan site of the Hawks, same state, public P5 university, so should be dominated by alumns, right? We all know that is probably not going to happen. Since ISU isn't a popular school, most of its fans most likely have some connection to it.
Never got this logic. Because we would welcome it the other way means we can't be ******? I mean it's like if you get a ****** call by a ref against you're team you're going to be ******. By you're logic we should be as equally ****** if a bad call goes in our favor. Of course we aren't going to react the same. Sure **** happens. Doesn't mean we have to like it or not hate it if we ever benefit from it. Dumbest post of the week.

What's your point, numbnuts? In your hypothetical, ISU isn't the one getting bent over. Since Matt leaving did bend ISU over, yeah, people are going to be a little peeved. You're apparently too darned st-st-st-stupid to figure this out.

That's what's going to happen when Fred is a pretty hands off recruiter like it seems he is. Some other head coaches came up as assistants are used to the grind of recruiting and are on the road all the time and meeting recruits in person as much as possible. I could be wrong, but seems like Fred lets his assistants do most of the ground work then he comes in to close the deal. So it makes sense that recruits seem more to have more of a connection with an assistant coach and that coach leaving would greatly affect their decision.

Good point....really wasting my time with a few people on here that seem to be baffled by how coaching changes work. My lord....this isn't new...not even remotely.
