Per close sources diallo will be attending the University of Iowa

I know you are joking, but this still deserves:

It's not one post. It's EVERY single thread. The guys weighs in and compares EVERY SINGLE posted thought to KU.

Go to Texas's free board. You will see some regular OU or Aggie posters that post a fair amount, but they do not weigh in on EVERY thread on the board.

There is a huge difference between surly for instance, or the Hawk posters that come to CF frequently vs twocoach, IMO.

I haven't read through then entire Clayton Custer transfer thread, but I'd be shocked if Twocoach didn't reference Conner Frankcamp. That's how absurd it is.

The only threads I have been participating on are the threads where Kansas is involved. The two Diallo threads and all the threads started by ISU fans about Kansas, Kansas coaches or Kansas players. Except for the Hoiberg surgery thread where I wished him well.

You can call me an unreasonable poster all you want but don't tell me I'm pretending to know something. Because you have no idea. You say I don't know diddly squat, because why? Cause you "do" know the opposite to be true? Or because if most don't know, nobody else should? Guess you're saying Hines was not a reasonable tweeter at the time then because of his "dead as can be" tweet a few weeks ago. There's plenty of other posters that discuss what they hear, yet protect their sources. Pretty much they're all put down, called trolls or pessimists, or worse. But you're right, been down this road before, ... I will work on my "happy to admit ignorance "as you say. And I mean that seriously. Most importantly, I know I have to quit posting in situations like this. I really do just love the bb program and come on here to see info and support the team/staff. I need to stick with just reading CW's, Blum's, and Gray's stories and updates. And that's okay. Lesson learned. No beef with you Mesa.

If you have an inside source, feel free to say so without saying who it is. Unless your inside source is Hoiberg, Otz, or another on staff coach...then your source s not better than what Chris Williams has. And even he is not being unequivocal regarding Diallo. In the history of your posting, you've provided not the tiniest hint of foreknowledge, actual insider knowledge, or even insight on workings within the program...all you've offered is the "we out" types of posts. Frankly, there are some genuine insiders here and that is just nothing like the tone and manner of how they convey information...on the occasions they pass something along.

I myself have a very good "inside" source in the football program and would NEVER give away who that was, but even so, I don't think I've ever tossed out a "we out" sort of statement. In all honesty, that's a juvenile tone and way of passing along information...which is why its very hard to buy that you actually know someone intimately linked to the basketball staff. And it has nothing to do with information being optimistic or negative...those who really know something "inside" generally know how to convey that information in a subtle and reasonable way. When people get shut down, or called trolls is when they use a childish tone or when the way they pass along information comes across as contrived.

Do people really think Hoiberg is leaving. The guy just had open heart surgery. He isn't leaving

Personally, I think he's in Ames next year, but that piece from Bossi puts a wrinkle in I have not considered until right now. Diallo has said he's waiting to see who leaves (paraphrasing). I have always assumed that meant the players jumping to the NBA. Now, spitballing here (with Bossi's help, of course), maybe it means more than that. Maybe he's waiting to see which coaches will still be around. If that's the case, it makes things far more interesting.

http://nypost.com/2015/04/18/chris-mullin-embarks-on-2-most-crucial-recruiting-challenges/ first "waiting for Fred on nba" theory in print I have seen. Not really note worthy but interesting bossi clearly doesn't indicate anyone has it locked up..

The NBA thing is dumb. Most NBA jobs will not come open for a while. The Bulls and Cavs, the teams most closely tied to Hoiberg and Cal rumors, will be playing in the playoffs until June most likely. No chance Diallo can wait until then.

You are stupid for thinking this because I know stuff and people need to stop thinking Diallo is coming here and just shut up about it.

Signed Allfourcy

Don't think this is fair, but obviously you do. I've never called anybody stupid on this board, ...ever. Unlike others. Never called anyone a troll, a liar, a pretender, or delusional...ever. Unlike others. Already responded above that any posts in these types of situations have to end. I guess you want nothing short of blood.

I generally agree, first time I have seen someone outside of this message board write it though.

I'm not seeing where you perceived the "juvenile tone" as that's far from what I am or stand for. And my situation is similar to yours in football, so I know you understand. I should know better than to get caught up in all the opinions and criticisms on the board, and basically we agree......I've said more than I should have. Thanks.

Lol! Yes, clearly I'm bloodthirsty. Did you really post that?

Can I just point out that this thread has been one massive, wonderfully subtle trolling? CW got us good.

Chris has speculated on the commitment plans of one "ChIEck Diallo", not the Our Saviour New American top-ranked recruit ChEIck Diallo.

Carry on...

i believe you but the condescending way you go about it is the problem. You've said he's not coming here because you know a coach. Some people don't believe you but you arguing with people won't make them believe you. You've got to let it go. Your job isn't to convince everyone that you are right. And more people would believe you if you weren't such an *** about it and kept repeating it.

Look, I have no doubt you have good intentions. My reference to "juvenile tone" refers to the kind of statements of absolute certainty....the "we out" or "he's ours" sorts. I don't mean it necessarily as a reference to immaturity. When I do get some interesting information from "inside", it is rarely of the absolute kind...usually its along the lines of this guy is in trouble academically, or this kid is really coming on strong in practice, or even this coach is is not really fitting in with the rest of the staff. I've yet to be told something as specific about a recruit as "we out"....because most often even the coaches aren't 100% sure where they stand.

Its certainly possible that Diallo called Coach Hoiberg and told him that ISU is out....and that you then heard directly from FH, or an assistant...that we are 100% out of it. But that just feels unlikely, even if you do have a good source. Maybe I'm wrong and Coach Hoiberg called you personally to tell you "Diallo says we're out"...but, yes, I'm skeptical of that.

If I've offended you with my skepticism, that's not my intention....I'm trying to explain to you why declarations of "certainty" generally meet with disbelief. Most likely, Diallo goes to KU/UK/St John's and this whole discussion is rendered moot, but it just feels over the top for anyone to assert they have infallible knowledge of this at this point.

Yes, I just agreed with you .....see above. I shouldn't have posted anything, period. And definitely not argue. I don't think it's unusual however to get defensive when people on here attack others for trying to clarify or add info. Just so you know, I didn't say my source was a coach. Was confirming with Mesa a similar situation.
