Chieck Diallo rumors

Hurt a lot at first? We're out. Let's put it this way, the idiots at 247sports had SJU at 3% before Matt. And now SJU are the leaders all of a sudden. Diallo is meeting with all these schools, and Fred is in a hospital bed and Diallo is the last thing Fred needs to worry about right now. Who else does Diallo have a relationship with at ISU? Don't forget Hines and CW's tweets that we're basically out.

well that just ruined my Friday night. do we know if Otz made any attempt to make a visit?
I hope you don't really think the lead recruiter is the ONLY person on our staff or team that has ever talked to him.
I would hope so, but how much can he really do with so little time getting to know him. Otz is at a big disadvantage.
As far as I can tell none of the assistant coaches follow Diallo on twitter either. Obviously that's not the deciding factor, but it sure doesn't help.
Gotta love the guys that make "certain" statements like...."we aren't going after high level recruits anymore" or "we're out" or "he's going to X". Sure sign they know absolutely nothing.
Most likely, we are a bit of a longshot...but nobody on this board (except maybe Chris Williams) knows with any level of certainty if we still have a shot at Diallo or not. And nobody knows that we won't still go after high level high school recruits...that's a ludicrous assertion. We are all in wait and see mode and none of us know more than a very little about what's up with Diallo, and who Fred (or his staff) are targeting.

I think we have as good of chance as any. This kid will succeed and go on to play in the NBA wherever he goes. I don't think any of the "experts" know anything more than we do.
Not sure if you've been following this closely, but...
First bolded: That was reported by Hines that we are changing our recruiting strategy, so hunt is right on with his statement.
Second and third bolded: CW and Hines said we were essentially out.
So true. People even held out hope that Vaughn would transfer here after was playing for UNLV.
