My guess is that they would prefer a grad transfer to another 4 year post player. Considering both Lard and Dembele are considered raw but talented.
That's a good point.

What? Since 1999 (17 seasons), they've won 6 conference championships and 5 B10 tournament championships. They've been in the Sweet 16 12 times, the Elite Eight 9 times, 7 Final Fours and a championship.
NCAA tournament results are equal or better than Kansas or Kentucky in all categories, as well as North Carolina or Duke with the exception of them each having 2 championships. Am I missing something? Am I on Impractical Jokers?
You think they'll still try to get another big?I'm sure the staff knew about Lard well before we all found out today. They've probably been recruiting Dembele while they knew what the Lard situation was looking like.

I think they want to land one more whether Lard is eligible or not. Outside of Burton and Bowie, every other big hasn't logged a college minute. I'm sure they want another guy with experience or a guy like Dembele who could battle with the other newcomers. As awesome as the Lard news is, the coaching staff could still know something we don't and it's always possible they are planning for him to not be eligible. You think they'll still try to get another big?
CD cut his list to 9 schools (ISU included) and is taking his first official visit to UNLV.
