Charleston Southern and the Bookstore

Sucks that the players have to pay the price for the institution's failure to inform them that they could only spend that money on books and nothing else.

I saw someone ***** about the corrupt NCAA on twitter over this, if I had twitter I think I'd inform him that Charleston Southern isn't a school that makes money off football and therefore isn't using "slave" labor.

i have worked with colleges in the past. Kirkwood CC for example, your financial aid allotment allows you to buy anything in their bookstore, from an eraser to a t-shirt, to a candy bar, or a laptop.

This potential suspension is a rotten deal for the players. Really outrageous

I mean, if you've been to the Iowa State bookstore you can see why this rule exists. I mean, if you gave each player a $5,000.00 per semester allotment towards the "bookstore" they'd certainly be getting more benefits than books. Not to say this is right or wrong, as I think the amateurism rules are crazy, but within the confines of the existing rules you can see how this could be exploited if there weren't rules against it.
