Stanford will be a huge challenge for the Twister Sisters. We could play our best game of the year and still lose by 20 points. They are very deep and talented. Our guards will really need to concentrate on getting back on defense. There bigs really transition well. I think we will need to slow the tempo down and really be eficient on offense. For us to have a chance the game needs to be in the 60's.

When we do this and we are accurate

Didn't we play Them this year? I thought we got beat by 40 points or something. I don't think we were playing that well at them time though.

To be honest......I think we will need 13+ Threes and 20 FT makes to win this game.

The loss earlier this season was before we figured out how to play defense. It was two games before the blowout loss to Iowa. The Drake game following the Iowa game is when we finally started playing like we play now.

If we lose by 20 points we did not play our best game of the year.

We had an off weekend when we played them last. Between them and San Diego St., we allowed 75 ppg that weekend. SDSU only averages 64 ppg for the season and Stanford 76. We are a defensive team and should be able to hold them under their season average.

Also, we have been good on offense during the tournament averaging 75ppg. Our defense was a question last night, but that was a bad match up and MSU played a game of their life. Good thing is that Stanford doesn't have anyone taller than us.

We can win the game, but it will be a tough game.

I would rather have Stanford think "hey we beat this guys pretty good earlier this year" then us winning earlier this year or it being a close game

ok I tried to financally try to go to Cali for the game. I could not get my finances straight to go. NOW if they go to St. Louis, I will definatly go there. Can there be a charter bus to go?

The last time we played them, we were 7-for-16 from 3-point range. Of those 7 we made, NONE were by our starters. If that changes, we have a chance to win it.

We have to have a good start. Last time we had a horrible start and we were out of it by half. We played a respectable 2nd, but to much damage was done. Last night we had a slow start and were able to overcome because we were the better team, but we can't start out 0-7 against Stanford.

We need to play our best basketball of the season to win. We're playing them right in their back yard, and on paper, they're the better team. All 5 starters need to be on. Can't afford to have Bolte and Wieben be non-existent again.

Probably not good. They smoked us earlier this year, the bracket got set up for us to make it this far, and it took damn near a miracle for us to do it. Going to have to play exponentially better. Especially Nikki.

Yes, everything has been pretty well set up for us - we have yet to play a ranked team.
We didn't get many open threes in Hawaii, and I assume it'll be difficult again.
