CFTV: Campbell's Iowa postgame presser

who the heck would he even put in to replace a current starter. there is no depth anywhere. i get i do. this is just such a disaster i not sure anyone is capable.

No problem holding guys accountable and not playing favorites. Who wants on the field? We'll find out.

I feel bad for him. I think he saw the fans, the support and I think he thought it would be easier than it is. I really believed in this guy and still do, I just get a deer in the headlights feeling from him now. I'm not sure, it coming from Ohio he realized how bad it really is at ISU at playing football.

I'm looking for which coach wants to be accountable for letting someone line up in an illegal formation 3 times in a game. I want to know which coach wants to be accountable for 3? illegal receiver downfield penalties. These aren't things which just manifest during a game. These happened in practice and the coaches said absolutely nothing about it. Would these penalties change the course of the game? Absolutely not. However, penalties were one of the biggest differences in this game (aside from the score).

You all wanted Rhoads around when he should have been fired much sooner, you are now seeing the consequences of it. Our recruiting has just been flat out horrible and our development might have been even worse. I don't know who could have come in and win more than 1-2 game with this team. Probably a very select few. We are just totally outmatched.

Offense sucks. No question about it. Offense has sucked for a long time around here. ISU has scored 30 or more points 21 times in the past five years (62 games). Pitiful. Can't win w/o scoring. No running game and inconsistent QBs. Needs to be fixed. Let's see if these guys can do it.

His presser was just sad. The first two games of the year he has been out coached. Last time I have seen it this bad was the Walden years or the beginning of the Mac years.
I still have emotional scars from those days, at least now I'm numb to it, to a degree.

I feel bad for the guy, no one envisioned things starting this way. I think he's probably furious about a few things but he's keeping an even keel for now...

We have a RB who had over 1300 yards last year, Big 12 offensive freshman of the year, & you wanna talk about practice??

I get you can't just let kids run the show, but come on.

It's amazing how people don't realize how different our OL is from last year, more importantly how much worse. That a Rhoads problem. Warren having significantly less yards this year should have surprised nobody.

I agree rhoads (and thus pollard for keeping him on too long) has a lot of blame here, but there were things that were on this staff too.

I hate to say it, but I don't want to hear Campbell asking questions when he does interviews anymore. "How do we become a better football team?" "How do we do this?" "How do we do that?" Nothing against the guy, but I don't want to hear that anymore. Nothing against the guy or his staff. I like them and want them to succeed, but they have a lot of work to do.
