Almost always enjoy listening to Self after games. Love him or hate him, guy knows his hoops.
I actually like Self. He has always been pretty complimentary towards ISU.
It is the KU fans I dislike. I love/hate how well he works the refs.
He might be the absolute best at working the refs. Tang should probably watch him sometime.
Self is a helluva coach and I have a lot of respect for him. Seems like a good guy too.
I agree with him on the unbalanced scheduling. I miss the old home-and-away round robin.
Is that Randy Pete that asks 'Why?' for how ISU was able to hit 3s at such a better clip?
Self really knows how to nail the postgame. Very smooth.
I get annoyed of self when he gets a technical because I know every damn time his team will make a run. The guy is an amazing coach and has a lot of respect for isu and I think overall isu has a lot of respect for him. Also agree that it is unfair we don’t play the round robin vs them but I’m also thankful because I think we lose by 10+ @ku. We couldn’t stop their bigs and the way they drive we might foul out our whole team in the first half with the way officials officiate @ku
KU fans are deplorable. Go to KC for the big 12 tournament and they will prove it.
It's just a weird question that doesn't really have an answer.
People sometimes confuse being angry about a handful of tragically officiated games against KU with hating or not respecting Self and KU. He’s the gold standard college basketball coach of these times. My neighbors who are big Arizona fans feel the same.
I can't think of a better men's coach today.
Interesting that he wasn't sure if the flagrant was warranted. I believe him 100% that he didn't see it/know.

He's really good at getting t'd up at the right tine, to his point, it only cost them the 2 free throws, one that we missed
Because he has been spreading the gold to get players for years?
