Well sh!t. the job is his no questions asked. Saw this coming and they should be solid next year with someone that can Actually throw.
Not sure why any QB would want to transfer to Iowa.
It's gotta be like those girls who get into a relationship with a guy that has notable problems because the girl thinks she will be the one to fix him.
In all fairness with Iowa you are getting a solid defense that will keep you in every game. A stout offensive line. Historically good TEs. And typically more than serviceable RBs. This should give a QB with any talent the opportunity to shine. The biggest question is the same one we have here at ISU. Can the coaching staff stay out of their own way enough to allow that talent to show and thrive?
I hate Iowa as much as the next person but there is no denying they are a solid team with above average results regularly. When you add to that the typically weak division they play in there should be plenty of reasons someone could see the draw to that cesspool.
You have to sell a ton of A/C units to recover $100k in NIL payments. If a local company has money to waste like this, it guarantees that I'll take my business elsewhere.
Petrash was a qb for a 10 win team. McNamara has way more talent than him. I don’t see this as dumb.
Would we be interested in Keagan Johnson - WR who left Iowa yesterday? From Nebraska I believe and we offered him in high school
Iowa in a week has now lost at WR, Raigaini (graduation), Arland Bruce and Keagan Johnson (portal).

Iowa will definitely grab a WR or two. With Cade coming in it’ll make that process easier to grab quality.
They have had good QBs prior to Petras. It's just these last three years are a disaster.
Iowa hasn’t had good wr when they have had other good qbs. They might grab some but will they be good?
You would think so. I read Notre Dame has already contacted him. I expect Nebraska will as well.
