No its not possible, because LSU and UGA will play each other, so will OSU and Minn/Wisconisn. So two of those teams will have their second loss of the year.
Even if they go to 8, no more than 2 teams from any conference should be allowed. If LSU would beat UGA, that would give Georgia 2 losses on the year, so they get jumped by Alabama.
I may have a beef, depending on the circumstances, but it wouldn’t be with the G5 team.

LSU beats Aggy. UGA beats GT and LSU. Both are 12-1
Bama beats Auburn. Bama finishes 11-1
Minnesota beats Wisconsin. OSU beats Michigan. Minnesota beats OSU. Both teams are 12-1
Clemson wins out and finishes 13-0
Utah and OU win out and finish 12-1
This scenario really requires 1 major upset btw. Minnesota over OSU is the only one that's hard to see happening
Georgia also has the worst loss of all the one win teams. Losing at home to South Carolina, who has an overall losing record should definitely knock them down a notch.
You need to put a thousand on that playing out the way you dreamed it up, you could retire immediately.
If UGA beats LSU, then they both would be in, and thereby dropping Alabama out. No way the committee allows 3 SEC teams and say Clemson, while not allowing a reprehensive from the Big XII, Big X and the PAC XII.
Not happening.
To make things even more interesting, Clemson could also end up at 12-1. Although that is pretty unlikely.

IMO, there needs to be 8 teams and the playoff begins the following weekend after Conference Championship week. (Power 5 Champs and 3 wild cards) *This would allow the non-power 5 teams a chance only if they are ranked in the final top 10 standings at the end of their season. I do NOT want the small **** schools in it every year just because they ended up being the best small **** school. They have to finish in the top 10 of the standings to be eligible.
Top 4 teams host home "playoff" games. Losers of the contests get sent to bowl games against the other playoff losers to celebrate their seasons. (Just like all the other bowl eligible teams get to.) You don't want the losers of the playoff games to end their seasons this way. They should get to go bowling too. Thus, this keeps the bowl-system nice and neat for the NCAA.
Winners of the the playoff games also move forward to the bowl/playoff set up that we currently have.
Pretty simple if you ask me. It would finally have southern teams playing out of their territory for once if a Northern school were to host a home playoff game. Also, playing the playoff games right away allows for them not to overlap with all the other bowl games during bowl season.
You also can't make the 8 team playoff head to neutral site locations. It would be a nightmare trying to set that all up, renting a neutral site stadium in that small amount of time just does not work. Something else to consider, this would be crazy-expensive for college football fans. (You have to factor in a Conference Championship game, Neutral site "playoff" game and then the bowls that follow. That is a lot to ask for the average fan.) Keep it simple and play the playoff games at the home venues for the top 4 teams. Not only would that be very exciting, it would add some nostalgia to the whole system. The top 4 teams should be rewarded, thus they get to host the playoff game.

It doesn't even seem like a hard choice to me, it's OU. People can sit there and complain that OU was in a lot of close games, gave up some big leads, or let go of big leads, but it comes down to one simple fact....they won the game. Winning is winning. Also small fact, OU has the 22nd hardest schedule while Utah has 54 (Sagarin ranks)
So if Georgia beats LSU they're both still in. If LSU beats Georgia the Bulldogs are out. Ohio St. is in regardless. Everyone else should be cheering for Georgia and Clemson losses in order to change the top 4.
I would be curious to see what happens to OSU if they lose while LSU, OU, Utah, and Clemson all win. In that scenario, I think OSU should be left out but I don't think the committee would do that.
I don't see a one-loss Ohio St. being left out in favor of a one-loss Utah or OU. OU's loss to KSU much worse than an OSU loss to Wisco in the B1G title game.
That said, I'd be shocked if Wisco wins or even keeps it within 2 scores.
it's going to be hard for the committee to move OU above Utah if they both win.
