Not planning on attending unfortunately but would suggest downtown. As I said in another thread, the past 3 times I've been to Milwaukee I stayed 1.5 miles away and even that doesn't feel like downtown. 8 miles seems excessive. Think about the money saved on ubers and taxis. That's half the price difference right there.
