You forgot about our headbands and wristbands.

I am. I've actually never been to Lied before so, umm... How does this work? And how am I going to be able to identify you guys?

If you ask nicely, someone will probably agree to meet you at the front desk. Tell them what color shirt you have on and vice versa.

Just look for a group of guys that dint belong their. We are all old, fat, bald, and out of shape.

Well, actually I'm the bald one, but the rest is true.

I have an alumni card that was supposed to expire back in June.... but they never swipe my card.... soooo may be able to sponsor on mine.

Also, are we playing at 6 or 7?

i wish all you had to do was pay the 6 dollar fee. I would like to go early to shoot. Any students here going early?

Can someone explain this whole sponsor thing?

Now that I'm in Des Moines, I'd like to come up every so often for a few games and embarrass myself. If old, fat, and easily winded is good, I'll fit right in.

I can go whenever. I have no idea what this sponsor ordeal is though. This will be my first time even setting foot inside Lied.

Basically, Lied isn't a public facility. Think of it as a regular gym where you pay a membership fee and can invite guests for a single day pass.

Here's some more details.

If you are not a student, then a current student has to sponsor you. The student will have to meet the non-student at the front desk. Let the person there know you are sponsoring them. They will give you a form with a couple details to fill out. The student will also put down their name. You then pay you 6 dollars, cash or card, and they let you in.

Why don't you guys just play at Beyer Hall? Is that no longer open? (I've been gone for about 15 years, so things may have changed).
