CF Challenge for ForeverTrue Day

As you well know, the Iowa State University Foundation is a big supporter of what we do here at Cyclone Fanatic. I thought it would be really cool if we could rally behind them and track gifts made by CFers for 2023 Forever True Day.

I plan to give to the marching band, vet med and the school of journalism.

My goal here isn't for us to raise a ton of money (although that would be awesome) but to get our user base engaged with other aspects of the university besides athletics. I think this is a really cool event and hope you all participate if you can.

Sounds like our number is at three. I just made my first give, so four.

I did for the Companion Animal Fund at Vet Med in honor of my wife, who spent soooooo many hours at that place. I love that place.

I think it'd be cool if everybody posted where they are donating to on campus and why.

I'll remind everybody such donations are deductible (and so are those to the WWC for that matter).

Marching band... Some of the best days of my life were under the sun or the lights at Jack Trice Stadium wearing the cardinal and gold. Somebody paid for that for me, so I guess it is my turn.

History and economics, my two majors, and English and stats, my two minors...

None of these are particularly deep-pocked departments, and some of them have been severely cut lately (such as history being slated to lose its graduate programs entirely). I can't fix that myself, but maybe a small contribution aggregated with others can mean something for my old departments.
