CBS Article On David Montgomery!

Something all Cyclone fans can agree on, he is an incredible running back and the best in Iowa,

A little tidbit about Montgomery.

Last year after the Oklahoma win, a lot of us met the team at the Bergstrom Practice Facility. We stayed quite a while. Montgomery was great, greetings fans and taking photos with kids and grandmas alike. After the crowd had mostly thinned out, we start to leave, but then see that Montgomery is still there! He just seemed to enjoy thoroughly the Cyclone love. Great person.

My daughter has run into him on campus and parties here and there and he's honestly surprised when people know who he is. He doesn't realize that he's a super-freak.

I think this line from the piece says all you need to know about David: "This story started as an offseason look into why analytics are in love with Montgomery."

Who he is, and what he is truly about is so unknown because as he said, he doesn't like the publicity. But when you do a true dive into who this kid is, it's impossible not to root for him

I hope Dave has a monster season and is projected high enough that he enters the draft. I get the sense that he'd finish his degree later. But I want this kid to get rich playing football. He deserves it.

He was probably waiting for everyone to leave so he could get one more workout in.

Wow. I really didn't know much about his story. What an incredible person.

I hope he has a 2000 yard season and is a first round draft pick.

Jesus. Got a little misty eyed there towards the end.

...Also a little angry:

"Essentially, he's doing a lot with a little," said Steve Palazzo, a PFF senior analyst. "They didn't have an offensive lineman above 150th in run blocking. They're just not good in front of him."

THE. LINE. MUST. IMPROVE.

Do whatever it takes to light a fire under that unit's ass, coach.
