Casey's Subs

Wow, I leave the country for 11 months and Casey's adds subs to the menu. Hopefully there is a store near Moravia when I get back to Iowa for a while next week. I was already planning on some pizza.

Just had my first Casey's sub yesterday...and I don't think I'll ever do it again.

Maybe I just had a bad experience, but they built my sub...and then just wrapped it up with the sub still "open." They didn't fold the sub closed! Who the hell does that.

So all of my BBQ sauce and half of my toppings were stuck to the paper and no longer on the sandwich.

On what planet's moon do the laws of physics make sense to just press a sub up against paper and roll it up without closing the bun and expect to have the sub still properly assembled upon unwrapping?

BOOOOO Casey's subs!

Just a bad experience. Losing half your toppings you probably still had more left than if you got Subway.

Couldn't agree more... I had the Italian sub. Sub was soggy when I got it home (less than a few blocks). I'd rather eat a sub from HyVee.

I like Casey's subs and have had some good experiences with them. I also think the quality of the subs can vary from store to store. I also think the level of service can vary from store to store.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

My wife and I tried a sub from Casey's yesterday. The sandwich didn't seem much different from subway, but the bread we chose (Parmesan Oregano) tasted freezer burned. I'll probably give it one more try sometime.

Casey's subs do vary between locations...

I had the 6 inch BBQ chicken with the parmesan oregano bread on Thursday. They heated the cheese in with the meat, then added more cheese and then toasted the thing. Added a bunch of vegies then more parmesan cheese, oregano, salt pepper and ranch... Amazing... Alot better then subway.

The last remaining sub I love from subway is the cuban pulled pork. Too bad that is only a summertime thing. Don't mind dressing up some subs with avacodo either. Although, it would be better as a guacamole mix.

I just polished off a sub from Hy Vee and I'd rather eat a rock.

I've only had Casey's subs from one location, so I can't speak to any variance in quality.
The real question is can you still eat them now that they're apparently a part of the mainstream with their own thread on CF even.

I had a Caseys sub and it was very subway like. Not great, not bad. I will get another one sometime. They just are not a must get sandwhich. Still good though. Just nothing more than Subway to be quite honest. Still love Caseys pizza. Breakfast and normal.

I have had 3 of those Cuban subs the last two weeks. Really good, especially since it comes from Subway.
