Has anyone here seen this kid play? I know he is only a freshman, but can he be a Division 1 player? With Paige, Staten, Gissell, and this kid the 2012 class is shaping up to be a very good one in the state of Iowa.

technically Gesell is a Nebraska recruit, but only by a bridge.

I coach the freshman football team and we played against Carroll. He was an athletic freak as their QB; it was hard to believe he was only a freshman. From what I hear he is the same way in bball.

We're showing interest, but Kasperbauer isn't as good as Paige or Gessell, at least right now.

When does the stalking begin? Has anyone been to his facebook page yet and said hello? We need to get in on him quick.:jimlad:

...and it doesn't sound like he'll grow much more either. He's got a pure shot and a real head for the game (coach's son), but still needs to work on his handle.

Should be interesting to see how he develops over the next 3 seasons...

I've seen him play a few times as my nephew is on the team. He has the ability to take over the game for Carroll but he is very unselfish. He can handle the ball very well. I think he will be D-1 easily by the time he's a senior.

One of the Jefferson High School football coaches told me that Kasperbauer was a better quarterback than Blake Haluska. Kid must be quite a athlete. Haluska was all state in football so I seriously doubt Casey will beat him out. Haluska's Dad is the High School principle so politics is a factor also.

Are you kidding me? The state of Iowa has never produced more than 2 top 100 athletes in the same year, to my knowledge.................

Staten will be top 25 if he continues to develop, Paige will be top 50, Gessell, top 100, and Kasperbauer top 150, JMO.
(If they all continue to develop and grow.)

so? staten and paige are elite level talent. and if you want to get technical, Gessel is actually a nebraska recruit, and staten is orginally from alabama i believe, so the state of iowa didnt actually "produce" him but he will be an iowa recruit

Brunner, Horner, Haluska were all top 30-60 in nation

Also wasnt a Korver and Jacobsen and a couple Creighton players from in Iowa in that class too?

anyone else seen that we had expressed interest in Seantrel Henderson, the #1 recruit in the nation in football for basketball

"Seantrel is one of the most humble kids on the team," Harris said. "He understood the situation. I got him in the game a couple of minutes later."

Henderson has attracted interest from Division I basketball programs, too. Henderson said he gets two or three letters a day from Marquette. Other basketball programs expressing interest include Miami (Fla.), Iowa and Iowa State.

Im sure greg mcdermott stopped recruiting him for basketball along time ago as ive seen they expect him to be a left tackle who could grow to about 6'10 345
