Carston Marshall Commits!

Can’t we get these guys later in the recruiting cycle? It’s not like we are trying to beat out D-1 teams for them. Again, not impressed with this class at all.

It's very underwhelming from a rankings/offers standpoint.

You guys act Matt Campbell is just offering random kids who stumble up outside of Jack Trice Stadium... Campbell has proven he can recruit, you gotta trust what he sees in these kids.

Literally look at what iowa is hauling in. High 3 star to low 4 star talent and those kids have offers from HIGH D-1 programs, like the LSUs and the Penn States. It’s the difference between 6-7 win seasons and the 9-10 ones that iowa constantly gets.

I think recruiting is just different this year. I think some of these guys they would probably wait to offer or accept their offer but with all the uncertainties I don't think you can turn guys away or wait as much.

That’s the opposite of what you do. Close the deal when you can.

Were in a position where these kids can redshirt and sit until at least sophomore year. This is a good thing.

Ratings are not the most reliable this with at least fewer camps to evaluate and fewer practices for them to improve for next year. Ratings become more reliable latter in the cycle.

I agree with everyone in this thread. I trust this staff's eye for talent, but these recruit's definitely have a Paul Rhoad's type offer list.

We've had two 8 win seasons in the last three so you're short selling this a bit.

I get that the lack of high end offers or stars may be a bit alarming, but lets let this class play out and step on the field before going AWOL. The staff has shown they're pretty damn good at talent evaluation. If the greatest coach in Iowa State Football history thinks the kid is good enough, that's good enough for me.
