Just shopping around for new truck insurance, the lowest/best rate for me that I can find is with Progressive Drive (not to be mistaken with Progressive Direct).

Anyone heard of Progressive Drive? I just don't want to jump into anything, the guy I have been working with from Progressive Drive said they are a "sister" company???

Any insight would be great!
 
Simply a matter of whether you go through an Agent or via the website/800 number.
 
It's progressives independent agent channel, so probably similar

Absolute Insurance in Clive...talk to Dan. Lowest rates I found and a great guy.
 
We've had Progressive for several years. They've been excellent to work with - and unfortunately during that time we've had a deer run into our car, and a parking lot incident (Hawk fan not looking where he was going ran into my car). Along with being economical, the speed at which claims were settled, along with the thoroughness of how they handled the 'events', was excellent. I don't have even one slightly negative thing to say about them.
 
My sister was in Adam Gray's wedding a couple of years ago, so I can't argue with him.

But I was recently rear-ended by someone with Progressive and I was pretty impressed how it was all handled by them. It was an easy process. I have State Farm and while I like them, I was in a hit and run in my apartment's parking lot a couple of years ago. The car was around 6 years old and I was going to sell it in a few months. and I was seriously considering taking the cash, but their estimate came in at $2500. I had it fixed, but it ended up costing $4900 and that was enough that the accident had to go on the title. Luckily, I sold it to someone I knew who knew that the damage was to the rear of the car.

The Hartford has worked well for us; both home and car insurance through the same company. Two claims handled - one out of which wasn’t even put on our record as we had a “first accident forgivenessâ€￾ benefit on our car insurance policy.

I know Adam personally - he played on my men's baseball team a year ago. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to contact him. He's a great guy and hard worker.
