Cannot re-enter through South gate???

It came to my attention on Saturday that fans leaving the stadium at halftime (and I would assume all other times) cannot re-enter Jack Trice through the South entrance. Has anyone else stumbled upon this problem?

Also, I wonder why the Athletic Department has this policy. There are plenty of Per Mars patrolling the gate at halftime...

Why are you leaving anyway? Do you really need that extra beer at halftime?

Isn't there a new rule going into effect next year that there is no re entering?

The rule was supposed to take effect this year. It didn't, and the rumor is that it's next year now.

I think it will prove to be very unpopular, and never be implemented.

I agree with CyGuy33. I look forward to wacking down a couple of beers at halftime and catching up with other games for ten minutes. I will be pissed if we loose this "right" and that is an understatement!

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but this is not a "right."

HOW MANY HOME GAMES HAVE YOU ATTENDED?

THIS HAS BEEN IN EFFECT FOR 4-5 YRSD NOW, I don't like it either but where have you been?

I love the "halftime patrole message board posters".

They get mad if someone leaves at halftime to drink a bear and play catch with there kid. They get mad when the game is a blowout and people leave early. Like there is a reason to stay and watch us get killed even more.

THey are the same people who always complain about how much in donations people give and complain that people try to get cheaper tickets through street vender salesman.

Basically they feel superior to all of us that leave when it's a blowout. Leave at halftime.

Look I don't have a responsibilty to be in my seat after halftime. I go to have fun. Fun for me is going out at halftime. Enjoying a beer. Tossing the ball with my son and daughter. If I don't get back in time for the second half kickoff that is my right. I payed for the ticket. Quit trying to preach to us who do this.

These gentlemen disagree.

You must have a really sweet life when you feel a need to worry about someone leaving at half time to have a beer.

For me, I need to get back to worrying about some bigger and better things.

Actually it is a right as I paid to see the game, not halftime. I am not breaking any laws bringing in guns, or sneaking in other patrons (not that it would crowd the place). I am going out to drink a couple beers, catch up on the other game (the scoreboard updater sucks in the stadium as they had the score backwards on the TTU vs A&M game last week).

Like I said, I do not a disagree with this statement, but it is well within the Universities power to limit re-entry. It is not your right to gain readmittance if it is not allowed. You and I may not agree with it, but it would not constitute a violation of any "right." Use of correct terminology makes our argument a little more effective.

I believe it is Big-12 rule wide....ISU just doesn't enforce it yet until the bathroom situation is resolve after this year.

Part of me doesn't like to see people leaving regardless, but it does make me feel better to know they may come back. Otherwise, I could see groups of people leaving at half for some of our games and never returning.

I had a husker fan near me bragging about everyone leaving early and then we informed him that they would be back for the second half and it spoiled his moment.
