Candy Bar Hot Takes

Kinder Bueno are a billion times better than kit kats.

Cadbury Creme Eggs and Kinder Bueno are the best candy bars out there. Europe does chocolate so much better!

For me it’s Hersheys. I really don’t like the taste.

Although I like tootsie rolls, so I might just have a bad taste in candy

Little tootsie rolls are good... but the full-sized ones (if they are soft)?! I will buy one literally any time I see it in the wild.

Not understanding the Butterfinger hate happening in here. Really not understanding it. Like, just really not understanding it.
Butterfinger goes from being awesome when it's fresh and sorta crumbly to being pretty awful when they get older and tooth-breaking.

100 Grand is my go-to, but I'm open to any of them, just in small qualities. I almost prefer small bites anymore. These are awesome:

Reese's is not a candy bar. What is it? I think they might be cookies. Or pies? Whatever they are, they are the greatest things ever created. Europe has nothing on Reese's.

Twin bings are fine if you eat them with your eyes closed. Otherwise you cringe when you look at them.
I like Buns better than Bings.

My go to is either Reese's Peanut butter cups, Almond Hershey's, Almond Joy or Butterfinger. I also enjoy an occasional Baby Ruth.

Apparently I've started a family fight by insisting the Three Musketeer bar is the same as a Milky Way without the caramel.

I did not know this was controversial.

Dark chocolate with sea salt incorporated. Better than anything else mentioned in this thread.
Disagree. I eat these "regularly" as a somewhat keto-friendly sweet. They are good, but not as good as other items mentioned here.

I love dark chocolate but I'm not a big fan of the big pieces of salt. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter is one of the best things on the planet.

One of the best candy bars I've ever had was a plain Snickers but in Germany. So much better. I can only assume it's because if their food regulations.

Snickers also makes a high protein version in the EU that is a legit protein bar. It looks like you might be able to find them in the US now???

I just happened to catch Paul and Prue from the Great British Baking show tasting American snacks.

Paul was excited for a Snickers until he bit into it. Said the chocolate was awful compared to the British version.

Now I want a British Snickers

I would probably put Milka, Rittersport, and Cadbury as my favorites, but yeah, those larger tootsie rolls are great

We just watched that last week, and I was going to say the same! I am curious to try them. My daughter and I are going to Scotland and England in August, so I’m going to hunt one down!

I need to try Rittersport!

So is the difference that the European versions require a higher percentage of cocoa rather than artificial flavoring?

Does anybody else remember when Brach's sold little wrapped caramel rolls with a variety flavored creme filling? You bought them by the pound out of a bulk bin at the store. My mom enjoyed those. I've tried to find them for her as a gift but I don't believe they are made any longer.

I was surprised how much they liked Oreo cookies.

Not a favorite of mine by any stretch and those two are professionals!
