I'm ready to move on and fear the dreaded "emotional letdown" and/or "look ahead" game.

How many fans will show up to Trice this weekend?
Is Penn State that good or is Ohio mediocre?
Will Ohio test our defense better than our first two opponents this year?
Do they have any injured players out? Do we?
Are there any Bobcats lurking? Care to fill us in?

Ohio is a good offensive team with a bad defense, if trends from last year continue, which is likely as they have the same QB and head coach. They averaged 1.5 turnovers a game last year, with an equal propensity for interceptions and fumbles. I would expect them to put up ~20 points. if we can finish drives and have 0 turnovers I expect a (mostly) comfortable win even if we have a bad defensive performance.

Damn- 20 points? Hopefully that's after we're up 35 and have cleared the bench.

I am feeling better about our offensive line.

They have the best offense we will have faced.
They have a defense that is pretty darn bad.

This is a for sure trap game or sneaky game. Week after an emotional slug feast rivalry win and before taking on the defending league champs at home.

My gut says its way too close maybe into the 3rd - again, young team - but we eventually pull away put a little space between the two

I am worried about a hangover game. Do we have any examples of one in Campbell's tenure?
Not a lot. That was more of a Paul Rhoads thing.

After knocking off #4 TCU in 2017 we dropped a couple close games to West Virginia & Oklahoma State.

After knocking off #8 Oklahoma State last year- again, we lost to West Virginia.

And their goddam mascot attacked Brutus Buckeye. That's all I need to know.

I'm less fearful of the letdown angle since ISU was less than sharp a lot of Saturday.

But, 3rd week, even bad teams can start to get some traction and Ohio is still breaking things in post-Solich.

I'd guess tight early and then IF ISU can keep it together it may be similar to SEMO.

31-14 in favor of the good guys. Dekkers has a much better day, Manning trusts Brock to run the ball a lot more (since it was very effective against Iowa), and defense clamps down on these guys. Will McDonald finally gets his first sack of the year, and also gets his second sack of the year.
