Can we talk about Nebraska?...

I could be wrong, but Nebraska looks to be in need of a COMPLETE rebuild. They will not just bounce back even with some flashy coaching hire. Couple of nice skill players, but they appear to be completely decimated in the trenches. It will take years to re-stock and re-build that O line. Absolutely awful on defense and special teams. Gonna take a while to flush whatever culture exists there now and reboot. Plus, they're still stuck in the Big Ten, which is the wrong place for them. Where do they recruit? What a mess. I can't believe they continue to fill that place week after week. It's weird, the optics in the stadium look like old Nebraska, but the product on the field reminds me of our worst teams.

Hate Iowa ... but really HATE Nebraska. Hope Iowa runs up the score ... but they won't... they will leave N with some shred of dignity. Hate the corn f*ers due to all the history in 60s 70s 80s of running up the score on teams (ISU and others) then putting in their scrubs with like a minute left ... then claiming they were such great sportsmen ... especially Tom Osborne ... F* them.

Arkansas didn't wait for the fat man to even get off the field before sending him on his way. Will Nebby wait for after the presser to announce they are moving on because they "still expect to play for championships."

As reported by local tv station in Lincoln. Riley out as Nebraska coach. Have not seen anything officially from the university or on twitter as of yet.

It will interesting to see if they fire him immediately or wait until they have a new coach ready to sign. Let’s face it, Nebraska is an unattractive job nowadays

I'm not sure they can announce unless they have the replacement pretty close to signed...and with Frost talking with Florida, it may be some time before they do announce.

How the Hell can you not fire the guy? In the weak division of the Big 10, with 2 easy non-conference games and you win 4 games? Worst record for NU in 50 years, gave up 200 yards a game on the ground in a conference that works as hard as it can to shorten games.

They looked KU bad today against a marginal Iowa team that was struggling to find an offensive identity. Actually, that is an insult to the KU defense.

If Frost is smart he'll try to get that UCLA job...familiar with the conference, great talent in Cali, and more patient fan base.

I am sure their fans are counting the minutes until Nick Saban comes to the greatest coaching position in the country...

The thing that just screams at me from watching them is they are a very poorly coached team. Why CMC talks about details and not following them, he is talking about a team like NU, or the Clones in CPR's final year. (Even the Clones in his first year>) I will agree that there is a talent gap there too, but even CPR's 3 win teams put up a fight against the marginal teams in the conference.

Nebraska:
Lars Anderson of Bleacher Report notes tonight his source tells him Scott Frost to Nebraska is a done deal. Anderson holds himself out as having deep connections to Nebraska. For what it is worth, sources tell FootballScoop Florida officials feel very confident in their ability to secure Frost as their next head coach. All of this comes after many, many coaches told FootballScoop Chip Kelly plans to choose UCLA over Florida.

Lars is being used by Frost's people to squeeze more money out of Florida.

Scott Frost: Kirk Herbstreit said this morning he “would be shocked if Scott Frost doesn’t end up in Gainesville.” Herbie must be hearing from the same folks we are.
