Can we get Leech?

Is Leech a distant relative of Dave McCarney? :jimlad:

Dave McCartney, you mean?

And Saul Rhodes?

Do you (the OP) mean as Offensive coordinator or as head coach? Because, as much as I like the hire of Tom Herman, Leach would be an upgrade as OC. Although, it would inevitably mean another step back for arnaud...lol

Well of course, what would he say right now? Treatment of players is a hot button for Tech right now - so he's going to play to that.

No different that political races - when the national deficit was all that people talked about, candidates had master plans of how to eliminate it. Now it's jobs and getting troops home - so they harp on that.

I think McNeil will make a great coach, he just was playing into the "I'll be the good guy to your kids" thing very hard, as he should if he wants the job.

As for Leach coming here, obviously it won't be as HC. But if the guy would be interested in an OC position, I'd gladly take him and either find a different spot for Herman or bid him farewell. No brainer.

+1

Leach is an attorney you know. Maybe Iowa should hire him to serve as general counsel to represent the FB team when they get in trouble again.......

I also think this thread is already a favorite for idiotic thread of the decade.

May the record reflect, this was not for head coach. The tool shed is full here, Wow! I know that some of you think a 7 win season is a damn NC, but it's not. I wanna be a real winner! I will not be happy until we are competitive in the South too... So to all of you people crying crazy, go **** yourselves.

I love what we have done, I'm 100% behind it. I was just goofing around actually but people getting upset about wanting better is stupid.

No photoshopping (my department's building is closed and along with it, my access to cool computer stuff) but here is a very lame attempt at using paint to add a parrot. An artist I am not.

It looks like he has a baby dinosaur on his shoulder! :biglaugh:

I would argue that Leech is not better than what we have now. He had a huge advantage recruiting in the state of Texas just for being there. He never did win a conference title either. Weather it was sarcasm, goofing or a serious post is no matter. I don't think Mike Leech could have done what Paul Rhoads and staff have done. And If he did, I don't think he'd be around the year after to reap the benefits. We wen't from 2-10 to 7-6 with a bowl victory on a coaches first year. With a team that would probably follow Rhoads to hell and back. That's about as good as it gets. Where as I'm not so sure all of Leech's players think he's much of a human being.
