I'm afraid I'm more old school, so I've never been a huge Prime fan. I watched his post game presser after the Stanford debacle with gleeful anticipation, but I have to give him some credit. He kept his composure and took it like a man, although I thought he blamed his players too much rather than himself and his coaches.

Some opinions:
I prefer CMC.
Mixed emotions on Prime.
Prime understands building a brand in todays environment. Real salesman. That includes his own brand as well as CU. In many ways they are the same.
Prime has a lot of recruiting ability. Just signed a big time QB over Alabama.
I would assume Prime is smart enough to know that he needs a defense.
Colorado will be good as long as he is there, he will attract talent. No question in my mind.
The new big 12 is wide open. I fully expect CU to be upper division.
Cannot judge yet how he treats players or the value he places on character and academics. Seems like a “just win” guy
That is the primary factor coaches are judged on. Has a coach ever been fired due to lack of academic progress their teams make as a primary reason?
It's funny to me when people say he blamed his players. He blamed his players, his coaching staff, and everyone else. He is trying to get every one to be accountable. Even himself. Back in the 80's and 90's coaches did this all the time. Then it became real common for coaches to do "Coach Speak" and take all the blame. I didn't mind him blaming players also.
Well, if your team's APR is too low you can lose scholarships, practice time, and even face post season bans. So i would guess if that happened you could see someone getting fired.
But don't you think you can do that in-house and behind the scenes? He is right to hold everyone accountable, but blaming your players in public seems like a good way to lose your own team. But like I said, I'm old school so you could be right.
I mean if you are old school you know they always used to do it that way. Somewhere they quit blaming kids and now it sounds kind of strange but I actually like it. Coaches just saying nobody did what they were supposed to do. If he quit and just blamed his players it would be one thing, he took blame also.

I am not naive enough to think otherwise. But, for example, I think CMC cares. Seems possible to be both, or at least pretend to be.
CMC will eventually be fired if he loses, regardless of “culture.” Again - not sure Prime cares.
