Campbell vs Prime

We still need a NIL fund to give a guy like Tampa some money so he can have a comfortable year at school before turning pro. But I don’t see Iowa or Iowa St ever being schools that use NIL to acquire many players for the reason you stated. I’m guessing Iowa blew a big chunk of their NIL wad ($650K I read) to get a QB and he played poorly then got hurt. I think there are about 10 programs that can burn NIL money every year without thinking about it. And some of them are seeing more disfunction than wins — see Texas A&M and Miami.

Regarding Prime and CU, I think we’re finding out that TCU isn’t very good, Nebraska is terrible and CSU is G5. The PAC 12 is really good this year and the Buffs will do well to finish 6-6 after that 3-0 start. Still a good year considering what Deion inherited.

More than NIL, my bigger concern is the B1G and SEC eventually using the massive advantage in TV money to pay players. Then it’s over for sure. ISU will be unable to keep up with the Minnesotas, Purdues, Indianas, Missouris, etc.
My only hope with that is they make a super conference. And schools like Arkansas, Illinois, probably even Iowa & Wisconsin get kicked out so ones like Mich, Ohio St, Texas, & Georgia can combine and maximize revenue.

They can have their NFL Lite and maybe we get decent & somewhat meaningful college football.

TCU was a 21 point favorite vs. CU. Nebby was a preseason favorite vs CU as well. Tell me how that was more possible than not?

I don't give a rats ass about spreads, TCU is down and Nebby still sucks. Whoa bold statement pal. If you need a pat on the back look elsewhere.

100% onboard with this. There's a whole bunch in the "P2" that don't belong at all. I'll be watching for those teams to get the boot next round of realignment.

That's why I roll my eyes when people talk about donating money. Look at all the Iowa fans who were grifted, they still have the worst offense in college football.

Serves them right. Spending NIL money on a QB that is going to be coached by Kirk and Brian is just plain stupid. With the exception of Brad Banks and maybe Drew Tate, every Iowa QB has played the same way - uber conservative game manager.

I tuned out when one of the announcer dudes was going on a particularly long Deion slobberfest. I did wonder if they even knew who the Stanford coach was.

That they slept walked into their first game against a team that was 1-10 last year after themselves being in the playoffs.
