Calling and whining to Matt tonight. It's making our entire fanbase look terrible.

Nebraska was missing likely their 2 best players. Thats all he is saying. We played a good team close, but we didnt play the 'top 10' version of the Huskers.

agreed, its embarrassing

Maybe Giggles needs to be reminded that we won AT Nebraska last year without two of our best players.

Cyclone fans..please stop listening to matt and miller.

Crazy to think the ****-stopping ISU would have put on NU last year.

This.

Dbag little-matty would do anything to make our fanbase look bad. Or our teams. Or our beloved University. He's a ******, the perfect definition of a ******. And as we all know, few people like or respect douches.

If nebby is as good as they think they are, if they have the depth and sheer talent they think they have, then playing their 3rd string qb, who was in the hunt for the starting job when the season started, shouldn't matter against 'lowly' Iowa State. And it's not like Green played bad either. They had to shift their offense, sure. No doubt about that. But they didn't turn the ball over much. We lost the turnover battle. All 3 of our TO's led DIRECTLY to fusker points. For a year we had to hear how the only way we could compete was if we got a freakish amount of TO's. Well nebby clearly won that battle this year and it still didn't matter.

Bottom line is - we lined up against a highly ranked team on Saturday and went punch for punch with them, and were one bad pass away from fairly and deservedly beating them.

If little boy matty won't acknowledge that, that's fine. Literally no one should care what he thinks, about anything. It certainly doesn't surprise me that he is making every excuse imaginable as to why this was a close game.

Injuries are part of the game. When Willis McGahee shattered his leg, did Ohio State say "Whoa, your best player is hurt. Let's not finish this game until he's back and healthy!". No, they went on and won the National Championship because injuries are part of the game.

Really? Was Lamaak at full strength? How about Rony Nelson, did he get any game time? And didn't we lose one of our best O-lineman before the season began, as well as a DT we were expecting to add to our depth?

Was Arnaud not dinged up?

Without their two best players. Please. What about us?

Pointing out our injuries doesn't mean that we faced the top 10 version of Nebraska. The issue I have with him saying that is, then why did they move up in the polls? Would they have not dropped had they lost, pretty sure the voters wouldn't say that oh well they had players hurt so we will give them a pass and move them up. The guy is an idiot, he is basically saying that you don't have a true football game unless every player on both teams is 100 percent.

What's funny is Martinez was good enough to play (evidenced by the fact that he came into the game at one point) but he sucks at anything but the read option, so he didn't start or play any significant amount of time.

I thought NU made a real mistake when they didn't let Greene pass more, when they did he looked pretty good. But if the NU coached messed up, it is not ISU's fault. NU is a pretty darn good team, and a lot of credit needs to go to the ISU coaches for finding ways to move the ball and slow the Huskers down.

Everyone also needs to remember that Martinez was yanked from the TX game because he was so ineffective, and Lee actually got NU back into the game, so even if he did play is no guarantee that NU would roll.

He is a redshirt freshman and the read option for the most part this year has worked for Nebraska. Now that being said it will not work against every team if the opposing defense has fast and an athletic defense such as texas did and Nebraska was exposed horribly. I am a Nebraska fan and I will say Iowa State played an amazing game and I was very impressed with them and Rhoades really has these guys believing they can play with anyone. I would say if he is able to win the last two games of the year he will be big 12 coach of the year or at least deserve. But great game Clones and I am sad that there probably wont be another one for a long long time

AA couldnt even walk without a limp during the game and out best Oline man was in and out the whole game.

I bet Matt went on to say the WHOLE fan base is crazy and sensitve, when it is only a select few.

Ok didnt read all of these posts but last year we were without our quarterback and started a guy named Tiller yea ring a bell Yep his first college start ...IN NEB? Oh yea the leading rusher in the big 12 did we mention he didnt play ?Oh and Suh? Anyone remember that huge fella from NEB?Football , YOU play the game Every game ,because Injurys are a Very big part of the game !! That is why so many people are up in arms about Boise and Utah right now .. They dont play BCS teams week in and out .So Why even complain.ISU played amazing on Saturday the end... Just my opinion!:wink:Go Cyclones !!

Well I wasn't one of the people that called in, as I think criticism of a comment is better served through emails, instead of making us look like whiners. But after chatting with him, I am officially never listening again. He thinks Cody Green is not a good qb, despite the fact that he is a 4 star, red shirt, duel threat qb that fits perfectly in their system. He also couldn't defend his comment of Nebraska is a 6-6 average team without Martinez, and kept bringing up the fact that ISU lost in 3 blowouts, so its impossible that Nebraska is any good. I don't care what he says positive, there is always a back-handed comment following it. I should have listened to everyone else and never given the guy a chance. Well I'm off the bus

That's enough. We will not allow relevant factual comments in a thread about a MM show.
